Crime victims may experience problems and disruptions that require special attention and support. The 受害者/见证服务 Program was created to assure that every possible benefit, service and courtesy is made available to crime victims and witnesses.

• Informs and assists victims of crime during the court process
• Provides court accompaniment, support and information during the court process
• Identifies needs of victims and witnesses and provides referrals to community resources
• Assists with applications for 受害者s of Crime, Volunteer Attorneys and other services

The 受害者/见证服务 Division is overseen by Suzanne Crawford. Suzanne first joined the Office of the 地方检察官 in 2011 as one of two 受害者/Witness Coordinators. In 2018, Suzanne became the Administrator of the 受害者/见证服务 Division for the 地方检察官’s Office. Since then, the division has grown and in addition to Ms. Crawford, there are now two Process Servers, an Investigator, and two 受害者/Witness Coordinators.

Ms. Crawford feels that the case load for 卡森城 has become much bigger, but it is very satisfying work as she is able to help more people in the community that are in need of services. 她说, “Working for the 地方检察官’s Office has been the most rewarding position I have held thus far.”
